| Having
joined the House of Venus Art Collective in 2001, Mark
came equipped with unique insight and a global reputation
and now spearheads the Venus film and TV-based projects.
He has a diploma from Vancouver Film School, a Bachelor’s
degree in film from the University of Toronto, and a Master’s
degree in communications from York University. Throughout
his schooling, Mark concurrently wrote, directed, produced
and starred in short films and videos and, over the years,
has become an internationally celebrated media artist.
Having traveled to places like London and Tokyo with his
work, Mark’s videos have screened in over 100 art
galleries and festivals around the globe and have won

is the original founding member of the House of Venus
creative collective. He has been producing events including
fashion shows, burlesque performances, huge corporate
functions and weekly club nights for the last decade.
Creating culture is the name of his game. Besides fashion
and performance, Michael has shifted his focus to a number
of art forms including visual art, film and video and

Having
spent the last decade carving out a definitive scene
in Vancouver’s underground as well as having steady
appearances all over North America, DJ Dickey Doo is
the man behind the music in Venus. He recently released
his first full-length album “Nocturnal Adventures”
under the DIXMIX moniker and is regularly called upon
to remix international artists (R.E.M., Har Mar Superstar).
